Three aquatic invasive species experts will provide an update on efforts to control the invaders at an upcoming meeting.
The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods is hosting the meeting next week in Rhinelander. The invaders include plants and animals that are not native to the Northwoods yet get introduced and cause problems with the natural ecosystems.
Interim Director at the Trout Lake Research Station Susan Knight, Stephanie Boisemenue, AIS coordinator in Oneida county, and Tom Johansen of the Squash Lake District will give the presentation. League spokesperson Jane Trotter says the update includes information from Lincoln, Langlade, Oneida, Vilas, Forest and Florence counties. Click on the following quote to access the full story.
