Massachusetts’ Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers Law

Even though this law is a bit dated, the fact that Massachusetts passed a law that makes it illegal in to introduce nuisance species to the state’s lakes and ponds, whether intentionally or unintentionally, is significant.  By passing this law, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has elevated the invasive species issue and has made it against the law to also transport invasive species.
