Clean, Drain, Dry and Dispose to Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers

The fight against aquatic invasive species continues to advance in and around Beltrami County.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources hosted a volunteer training Friday at the Beltrami County Administration building and Beltrami County Environmental Services opened a decontamination station at what DNR officials call the “tree shack” near Target in Bemidji.  Click on the following sentence to access the full story.

Before the Bemidji unit opened, the two closest options for boaters to decontaminate their boats, if they had an invasive species on them, was at the U.S. Highway 2 access to Cass Lake or in Park Rapids.
