Spread the word (not the species!)
The goal of the Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers! campaign is to raise awareness about the growing threat of aquatic invasive species and promote pro-conservation behaviors to recreational users while building community capacity to address the aquatic invasive species threat. Using social science-based strategies; the campaign promotes a strong, consistent prevention message to engage and empower outdoor aquatic recreation users to adopt cleaning behaviors that prevent the introduction of aquatic invasive species.
